How Many Therapists Will Arrive?
Typically, at every appointment, there will be a "Carolina Chair Rub Crew" of (2 - 5) assigned to work. (1 - 2) Dedicated Greeters "Right-Hands" direct traffic & ensure everything runs smoothly. (1) Lead Therapist "First-Hand" is able to complete up to 20 massages per hour! Additionally, there may be (1-2) Featured Contractor-Therapists "Second-Hands" (depending on your Booking Details & our Contractor-availability).
What If I Think I Need More Therapists to Arrive?
Don't worry - If you choose the Best Recommended Service Size for your Expected # of Participants, you'll be in good hands! Every single service we offer was brilliantly-designed for even ONE Lead Therapist to confidently handle in the time allotted! You'll see...
How Do I Know Which Service Size Is Best for My Occasion?
Each Service Size has a Best Recommendation that you should see when it's time to schedule. Try to consider the number of people you expect and how long you'd like each massage to be. If you still need help deciding, just give us a call at (336) 355-7896!
What If My Occasion Is Shorter than the Best Recommended Service Size?
No problem! You will be able to provide us with a Specified End Time via your Booking Details. We will stop providing massages & end the appointment at your chosen time, instead. The flat-rate cost does remain the same, so that we have the ability to better staff your appointment & cover more massages in the shorter amount of time! We certainly hope you will appreciate that value!
What If I'm Not Sure of My Expected Number of Participants?
Don't worry, The Expected Number of Participants is just your best estimate. If more (or fewer) people show than you thought, we automatically adjust the Seated Spans (the participant's time in the chair) to provide as much massage as we can, during your appointment!
Do I Need a Sign-up Sheet for Participants at My Appointment?
You never need a sign-up sheet with us! We're designed to accommodate participants as they approach at your appointment, by expertly adjusting each Seated Span to minimize crowding and unused time. Of course, for your own organizational needs, if you prefer - you may absolutely supply us with a sign-up sheet & we'll follow the order.

What Are Your Service Hours?
We begin at 9 a.m. and we end at 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays. *Special Sunday appointments may be available via call-in request only!
How Long Does It Take You to Set Up Everything?
Because this amount of time could vary per appointment location - we always arrive 30 minutes prior to each appointment. This allows us ample time to unload & setup wherever designated, without cutting-into valued massage time!
Do I Have to Schedule in Advance?
Yes, we require 48-hours notice to best accommodate you. Our online schedule will not permit scheduling of next day or same day appointments. You may still submit your Cherub Booking Details at any time; this will show us the date and time you desire. We will try our best to reserve the slot to accommodate you, but your appointment is not confirmed until full-payment is received.
Can I Buy More Time During My Current Appointment?
The therapists working at your appointment are scheduled for the exact time you've scheduled. To accommodate all other appointments, we do not permit extending current appointments...we apologize.
What If Time Runs Out & Some People Still Want a Massage?
We try our very best to massage Everyone who wants massage at your appointment, but sometimes more people do approach at the very end...Please consider this an indication that our presence at your location was well-received! We truly hope you'll reschedule with us and reassure anyone who missed out that we'll happily massage them, next time!
When Is Payment Due?
For everyone (with the exception of Educational Institutions), payments are due in-full at time of scheduling. Your appointment is not confirmed until full-payment is received. All Educational Institutions, Government Agencies, & Healthcare Facilities are eligible for the "Carolina Chair Rub Courtesy Reservation".
Can I Pay In-Person?
We only accept payments online and by phone, thank you. If you would like to pay by check, please call (336) 355-7896 for details!
What Payment Methods Are Accepted?
We accept all major credit cards and PayPal online and by phone. You do not need a PayPal account to pay at checkout! At checkout, you may click the PAYPAL button to use your PayPal account; you may enter your payment information directly on our site, should you simply opt to pay with a debit/credit card. We can also accept checks, if the desired appointment date is at least 2 weeks away. This allows time for checks to be mailed & processed, as the appointment is not confirmed until the payment has been processed. Can I Reserve Dates Without Upfront Payment?
If you are scheduling your appointment on behalf of an Educational Institution (Montessori/Preschool, Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, High School, Trade School, College/University, etc.), Governmental Agency (Local, City, State, or Federal Office), or Healthcare Facility (Hospital, Clinic, Treatment Center, or Doctor Office), you may utilize the "Cherub Courtesy Reservation".
What Is a "Cherub Courtesy Reservation"?
(For Educational Institutions, Governmental Agencies, or Healthcare Facilities Only) Attention All Educational Institutions, Governmental Agencies, & Healthcare Facilities: Because we recognize, understand, & appreciate the amount of planning entailed in the scheduling of our visit to your location - we've established the "Cherub Courtesy Reservation"...to hold your desired service date, allowing ample time for your designated departments to approve, issue, & (if need be) mail payment; however, we must receive your payment by the provided invoice due date, or your desired service date will reopen for scheduling.
What If I'm Scheduling for Guilford County Schools?
We're glad you asked! As of April 2023, Carolina Chair Rub is an approved Guilford County Schools Vendor...& proud of it! If scheduling for a GCS location: 1) Submit your Cherub Booking Details; 2) Request an invoice (via "Scheduling for School/GovernmentHealthcare" option); 3) Submit our invoice to the GCS Purchasing Department; 4) Email us a copy of your Approved Purchase Order; 5) We'll confirm your appointment & see you soon!
What If I'd Like to Leave a Tip?
Thank you! This is entirely your choice! We will never ask for tips, but we happily accept gratuity and appreciate it! The Cherub Booking Details you'll provide will give you the option to allow displayed tip boxes at your appointment. If you select "Indoors (Tip Boxes May Be Displayed)" or "Outdoors", we set a tip box per each chair station for accepting cash tips at assignments, but (in case anyone misses their opportunity during the appointment) a digital gratuity link is sent out afterwards; you'll have the option to visit: pay.carolinachairrub.com ...and Thank You again!
Am I Still Charged the Same Price If My Occasion Is Shorter than the Service Size?
Yes, the flat-rate would still apply to make it possible for us to better staff your appointment, to cover your desired number of massages in a shorter amount of time. Of course, it's entirely up to you which Service Size you select, whether you are basing your purchase on your budget, your expected # of guests, or your available allotted time for massages...our all-inclusive flat-rate pricing assures we'll be able to accommodate you!
Why Is There a Difference in Service Area Pricing?
Our Service Area pricing is different because our Service Area services are different! We've been operating within our BASIC Service Area since 2018; travel time & costs are additionally factored into our BEYOND & BEACH Service Area pricing.
Is Chair Massage Hygienic?
Carolina Chair Rub Is All About The Cleanliness! Aside from the fact that every participant receiving a massage is fully-clothed, each professional massage chair is thoroughly disinfected prior to each massage. We spray and wipe down our chairs, discard and replace the disposable face cradle covers, and sanitize our hands (to elbows), before seating each new guest to prevent the spread of germs.
Are Any Lotions or Oils Used During Your Chair Massages?
Nope, to avoid any allergic reactions, we do not use any moisturizers (lotions/oils/creams) during our chair massages. Since all Participants are fully-clothed for chair massages, (with the typical exceptions being the neck, hands, and arms) there is minimal skin-to-skin contact and we've found that such lubricants are not necessary.
Is Chair Massage Safe for Everyone at My Event?
We collect a brief informed consent from every single person prior to administering our chair massages and we provide careful instruction and guidance for getting-on and off our professional massage chairs; however, sometimes we may have to refuse or decline providing a massage due to health concerns indicated on an individual's consent-card. In this case, we do our best to discretely educate and respectfully provide that visitor with our reason(s); we encourage a healthcare provider follow-up for permission to receive future massage; we honor the dignity, privacy, and well-being of everyone we encounter.
What Should I Do to Create a Relaxing Setting for My Appointment?
You don't have to do a thing! As our standard - we arrive to your appointment 30-minutes early to setup, ready to rearrange your designated space, to stage a zen atmosphere for all of your guests that will include: iridescent lighting, calming aromatherapy, & reflection music!
Should I Keep Tables & Chairs in the Room for My Appointment?
Tables & chairs are never in our way! To help you decide, make the following consideration: If tables are present, our Greeters will utilize them as sign-in stations to collect our consents. If no tables, our Greeters will simply hand your guests our clipboards. Having chairs in the room simply welcomes your guests to sit before/after their massage. Without chairs, guests may stand around or leave directly after receiving their massage. The choice is always yours!

What If I Have Massage Therapist Gender Preferences for My Occasion?
Though you won't find an option to choose female/male therapists via Booking Details, we'll always understand & try our best to accommodate your request. Please notify us of your preference, as soon as possible, so that we may attempt to staff your appointment, accordingly.
What If I Need to Change My Appointment Time or Date? Technically, this is a new appointment. You may call us to make modifications or go online, Provide your Cherub Booking Details, then Check Availability of the new desired date and/or time. You will need to call to cancel your initial appointment within 24 hours of the appointment to avoid still being charged.
What If I Need to Cancel?
Please contact (336) 355-7896 to cancel within 24-hours of your appointment for a full-refund of your payment. Cancellation after 24-hours will result in only a 50% refund of your payment. No refund available, no digital gift card balance reinstatement or reissuing for cancellation after 24 hours with applied digital gift card payment. Cancellation of one Workplace Wellness/Monthly Massage date (without rescheduling within the same month) voids any rewarded digital gift in its entirety.
What Happens If There Is Bad Weather?
Carolina Chair Rub values safety first - for you, your company, customers, guests, visitors, and our traveling therapists. If inclement weather presents a risk, Carolina Chair Rub will contact you directly to discuss rescheduling options.
